The gateway site at the seaport district in Lower Manhattan presents spectacular design opportunities. Named “Spire“ the proposed tower design draws inspirations from many of the classical
spire skyscrapers of the 20th Century. The massing results in floor plates that are bigger
at the top of the building than they are at the middle and bottom. The views will be
unparalleled to all directions. The facades accentuate the positioning of the tower by
having strong biases in the East and West directions.
