For this project, we were assigned the task of raising awareness through our own means via a set of cards or a series of posters. I decided to stray away from that idea by creating mousepads and advocating to the gaming culture; more specifically, the PC gaming culture as the addiction to gaming seems more severe than those that use consoles. For this project, I appropriated not only the games themselves, but common language for gamers such as "AFK" which means "Away from Keyboard". It was changed to "AFL" so every time a person goes on their computer, they are "Away from Life" and so on.
The infographic was a secondary design element to further push the concept of the mousepads as they offered little information and could be a double edged sword. I also designed the poster tubes and the address stickers in case the mousepads + poster were bought online rather than through a convention.
