I traveled around Naples, Pozzuoli, Amalfi, Rome, and Matera throughout the first month of 2019. These are some drawings made during my time at these places. My favorite thing about these places we visited was the griminess of the streets, the clear skies kissing the mountains, the lore, and the way people historically ignore the blatant abuse of power of the Catholic Church. 

 

Crayons and watercolours are used in conjunction in order to explore texture, contrast and layering techniques.
