PCHUM BEN POSTER
Pchum Ben is a 15-day Cambodian religious festival, culminating in celebrations on the 15th day of the tenth month in the Khmer calendar. The day is a time when many Cambodians pay their respects to deceased relatives of up to 7 generations.
Our team created this artwork to celebrate the Pchum Ben day to all khmer people and also to create awareness to all the khmer young generations to keep this Khmer religious festival in their mind and pass it to another generation.
There are certain documents which we had researched through internet source, site the old temple, khmer temple documents, and art on the column of the temples we visited to capture all the elements to create this artwork.
Colors combination also one of the most important part in this artwork, according to our study, the color for this artwork has to be fit with the traditional theme that we are doing, so these color are fit well which no matter what the time or trend, these colors are the hues that never go out of style.
