RCA (River City Aquatics) is a swimming club located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. When they needed a logo the owner of my company, Idyllic Enterprises, wanted to see if we could come up with something different than most of the other cheesy swimming club logos that already existed. So he asked me to come up with a few ideas for the club who had no idea what their mascot was going to be. After tossing around a few names and a bit of debating the owner came up with the name Kingfishers. I had no idea what a Kingfisher was so after a bit of research I found out that the Kingfisher is a bird that dives into the water and spears fish with it's beak.

 

UPDATE: The final RCA Kinfishers logo received a Gold ADDY Award. Yay!
