In Mexico City cycling is increasingly popular, especially among young people. One of the most common problems of the cycling population is the storage of bicycles in their own homes due to the lack of space. In response I designed a rack which express the user’s lifestyle + individuality.
To achieve the concept behind the rack I extracted one of the main spots in Mexico City, Colonia Condesa, where people share this culture in boom and have a similar lifestyle.
After defining the shape and solving the engineering I applyed the extraction, the outcome is very atractive.

The outcome is very atractive not only visualy but it embraces the concept. The form manages to expres the individuality and lifestyle of the user. The final object is very clean, the wooden parts of the sternotomy cover the screws used to fix the rack to the wall, the aluminium bar and the screws add some elegance to the design.
