With tigers listed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species as an endangered species and snow leopards listed as a vulnerable species, these majestic big cats desperately need our help.

As such, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is constantly fundraising and working to help protect these valuable animals. WWF Australia’s 2018 fundraising effort, titled Clash of Cats, creates two teams for participants to root for, Team Tiger and Team Snow Leopard. Both teams battled head-to-head in order to raise the most for their featured species.
Variations
This graphic design helped promote the Clash for Cats fundraiser and served as WWF Australia’s social media branding throughout the event. Designed to clearly represent both Team Tiger and Team Snow Leopard, the composition is split equally and uses the complimentary colors, orange and blue, warm colors for the tiger and cool colors for the snow leopard. Although both stripes and spots are present to represent the striped tiger and the spotted snow leopard, the general portrait remains unified and consistent.
Social Media Banners
The illustration was also designed to be versatile and readable at various shapes, sizes, and even compositions. Variations allow either Team Tiger or Team Snow Leopard to be represented solely or together, featuring a lone tiger or snow leopard, or the hybrid blended character. No matter the arrangement, this artwork clearly brings attention to these fleeting species.
