Madison Thomas
{insert business card!!!!}
Who is she? Madison Thomas grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her passion for filmmaking pushed her to get a Bachelor of Fine Art which would major in filmmaking. Her films would reflect her many cultures: Ojibwe, Saulteax, Russian and Ukrainian. One of her many feats would be winning the 2017 Imaginative/APTN web-series pitch competition with her web-series "The Colour of Scar Tissue".
Questions?
🔸 How much control does the industry have over the creation of your projects?
🔸 What is the hardest part about working with actors?
🔸 Is being a director fun?
Reflection: Seeing her film about student stress really touched me. The feelings expressed in the documentary said a lot of things that I could never get myself to express to others. Aside from that, the pitch activity was very fun! My team had to pitch a tv show to a channel that played comedies, competition shows and teen dramas. We ended up making up a show called "No Tears Allowed" and it's about two lovers named Rebecca and Charlie who both sign up for the same job at a company called FuzzBeed, this causes a ripple in their relationship and the show picks up from there. All in all, I found Madison Thomas very fun and inspiring.
