HOW MUCH OF ME IS IN ME?

We have always been haunted by the predilection of defining the self. By evolution, we humans learn by imitation, no child needs to be taught their mother tongue but grasps by observation, feedback and mimicry. Personalities are formed by gleaning admired habits and behaviors of the people surrounding.

Memory is integral to the functioning of human personality. Our memories and experiences can be directly attributed for our thought processes.
So now emerges the question of how much does nurturing of a child result in his character, versus how much genes and by traditional cultures the soul, play a part in creating our inner-self.

This book is a compilation of various situation/snapshots of where the young and vulnerable are learning from their environment. If a compilation of these memories is supposed to shape oneself, one needs to ask:
Are we just a sum of our memories and learned behaviors. Or is there something deeper within us, which is more than our physical body and mind.

I want to raise the question: How much of you is just you?
