Video Art (Projection Mapping Demo)

This work is a piece of video art in the concept development stage. Its like a sketch on a note pad of the concept I want to explore using projection mapping in micro narratives.

Its a work in progress towards a live project mapping presentation called Unscreening: Networks.

UNSCREENING: NETWORKS is a contemporary screen-based culture program that features new works by a collection of artists from Queensland and beyond. In a ‘not to be missed’ one night only event on Saturday 9 February 2019, SUNSCREENING: NETWORKS weaves together the work of an array of artists whose practices are classified by collaboration and connectivity.

This piece explores cross-art, blending the voice recordings of young leaders that I captured during a UNESCO youth forum in 2013, with video portraits shot with a 50mm lens, and motion graphics using after effects. Let me know what you think.

Featuring: SALVADOR CANTELLANO NETWORKS: LINES AND LIVES [Immersive projection mapping Installation] Salvador Cantellano’s major projection mapping work will focus on the lines and lives that foster global networks. Ranging from mapping trajectories and connections via shapes and movement across different surfaces in the space, to mapping out the lives of people and populations through the documentation of faces that he captured at the UNESCO Youth Forum, Salvador’s work will present a compelling spatial network within the space where viewers can become intertwined with lives and light in an immersive screening environment.
