Heraldry is the science of the coat of arms (according to the Royal Spanish Academy, blazon is defined as the "art of explaining and describing the coats of arms of each lineage, city or person"). It is also a field of artistic expression, an element of medieval law and of the royal dynasties to this day. More recently, it has been admitted into the sciences attached to history along with diplomacy, philanthropy, stealth and vexology.
