The approach we chose to represent the topic of the human body was based on the volume of the body as an object. In other words, the analysis of each enigmatic fragment of the body to encourage the observer to understand what it is. Beyond the lines or the volume that make the bizarre angles, we also explored the particular features of the skin such as the different textures, spots and shades. These aspects are what enhance the composition and emphasize the human details in a way that contradicts the definition of the body as a geometric object.

The random disposition of the fragments breaks the association of body as an unification, denying the natural reading of the elements. The narrative of this project is directly connected to the title: somá, which means "body" in greek. It also refers to the word "somar" in portuguese that means "sum". Therefore, the sum of the body parts results in an harmonious composition. The origin of the greek word is related to the value of the body itslef, as an object of study, during The Ancient Greece known for the pioneering exploration of the human proportions and geometry. The final results are reassured in a 1x1 magazine. The square format neutralizes the motive.
