Plantronics Global Service Support Site
This project with BigBang Consulting (BBC) of San Francisco, CA, intended to reimagine the customer support warranty submission website for Netherlands-based Plantronics, Inc. (www.plantronics.com).

The goal was to update their warranty registry and claim process to be mobile-first accessible, an upgrade to their prior desktop-only site. Plantronics already used the Foundation 5 layout framework by Zurb. As part of this project, we updated to the latest Foundation 6 and introduced the mobile-first layouts. The site needed to scale effectively whether the clients accessing it were individual customers with only a few products to enterprise-level customers with thousands of products to manage. The site and interface elements also needed to be auto-translatable into 15 different languages through localization strings
To facilitate working remotely for the team, I created a UX flow diagram based on Plantronics' requirements and built using the online tool coggle.it to make sharing easy. Based on this diagram, I worked with BBC engineers to build out front end screens as we developed each feature. At about 2/3 of the way to completion, once all of the layout styles had been refined, a short refactoring exercise narrowed the number of templates to 3 primary layouts across mobile, tablet and desktop sizes.
Upon successful completion of the site design, Plantronics also asked for help building localized, responsive HTML email templates for their processing communications. Leveraging the MJML responsive email framework, and multiple-browser testing using EmailOnAcid, I delivered a flexible set of email templates that
