Cardbord seating
Context:
To design a chair that is made out of cardboard. As an inspiration I took a doodle
that I usually create.
Cardboard sheets as a material is an interesting material to you, it can be used for
its strength however I wanted to explore the versatility of the material. I started out
by ripping the flat sides of the cardboard to get the corrugated part, which would
make it much more flexible. After that I made a stencil to fix the shape that I need
to create my layers and layers to hold the structure together.
You can sit on the chair in three different ways:
Lounge: 1 person
Bench: 3 people
Back to back: 2 people
