Introduction
The motorbike is a private affair between man and machine. A love story. We talked to riders across South East Asia about their lives, hopes and dreams. We studied and observed a day in the life of a rider, to understand their experiences with their bikes. We talked about their pain points with bike usage today; we also fantasised about what a bike of tomorrow could do.
When they talk about their bike, you see their faces light up, there is significant intimacy in that connection. They tell me about the pleasures of riding, at the same time, it is also the highway to hell. They tell us about a bike stuck in the 70s, that it has failed to evolve with them.
