This year, the direction of the kit and where I took inspiration from was completely up to me. I had in the back of my mind the image below (from 2013) and many similar for the new iteration. It was to be a homage to the mountains, on which we mountain bikers spend our time and the hallowed hour which is best to view them. Twilight.
Where deep oranges, purples and blues outline mountain ranges to the horizon. It was also the perfect composite of images to layout Marathon Mountainbikes numerous sponsors.
The kit was manufactured by Seight clothing and worn by team members : Mike Blewitt, Imogen Smith, Justin Morris and Sebastian Jayne over their 2016/17 national and international seasons.
This well loved kit later went on to a small run just for friends minus the sponsors logos.
