For my HNC graded unit, I was given a brief which stated that I was required to design a carousel (or mery-go-round). I was left to come up with a theme and design, as long as it fitted the stated carousel criteria.
I quickly settled on a Cars theme, below is the three stages I went through to visualise the carousel. All models and visualisation were done within AutoCAD
This HNC project was awarded an A.
Stage 1: Concepts
Here are a few design concepts that I came up with. Although none of these ones made the final design.
Stage 2: Modelling
At this stage, I took the finalised ideas from the concept stages and created 3D models in AutoCAD of the components required to make the final design.
Stage 3: Visualisation
After all the components are created, they need to have materials applied and then put together to create the final design.
