Image panels honoring the organ, eye, and tissue donors and recipients and their families cared for by LifeSource, an Upper Midwest nonprofit organization.
Three sizes of panel at staggered depths give dimension to the installation. Arranging the images in overlapping collages compensates for a wide range of quality, from professional portraiture to family snapshots.
Lucite panels digitally printed with images and applied vinyl lettering, hung with a custom 3/4˝ offset spacing system.
Quote fragments that express recipients' gratitude and donor families' emotions float over images and cast shadows on the wall.
Images hang slightly above eye level, causing the viewer to look upward in reverence at these heroes who gave the ultimate gift of organ, eye, and tissue donation.
