RATIONALE
My concept for JOHN WICK comics is to make a BOOK COVER. This BOOK COVER were designed based on the movie-derived comics of “JOHN WICK” as per the director/writer’s perception, who expressed the “JOHN WICK” character in a way were audiences are impressed with the story. BOOK COVER is a simple and direct way to reflect his views, typically giving information on the subject.
The typeface used in the designing of the book cover is AGENCY FB which gave a touch of professionalism of the character.
Pinkish colored font and dark Navy blue background was my coice of colors to go with since it was the trend where most of the comics are designed.
The writer focus on a NEO-NOIR themed storyline about a retired professional assassin who comes back for a vengeance for an unspeakable injustice caused by his former associates. By this it very clear that JOHN WICK is the best and no one is equal to him… This is where his most priced weapon come into the picture even though he left this life style behind for his love…
I used a NEO-NOIR Themed color with minimalistic properties by not going too pop or too dull from the design aspects. As the book cover under goes the printing process where the colors are chosen as per CYMK requirements for better results. The paper quality is about 170 gsm industrial grade standard printing supplies for better durability of the ink throughout the printing.
