Night version of the famous Dust II is something you'd rarely see in-game, since its not an official version, what to talk about its presence in video production. Thought this is a good idea to make a video with something unique in the setup and give it a possibility to, eh, shine in the night.
Despite the setting of the night, things need to be lit, cant really see much in the pitch black night, so I put some fire here and there, and to add some reasoning behind it, I've added some SFX of the revolt at the beginning to make it feel like situation is quite extraordinary.
During the work on this projects I learned of the quaternions and their usage in the animation. In my attempt to understand the mathematics behind them I have obviously failed, tho the usage of them had been applied successfully.
For animating I used Maya, and for rendering I used UE4 VXGI2.
In conclusion things turned out good, I learned a lot and the result I managed to pull out from the video is decent, tho I regret the video be that short, but it is taken into account to the next video.
