The gift shop of the Herreshoff Marine Museum sells a number of products as a form of self-funding.  One of these products is a small round decal.  The store manager as the time, Jessica Collinge, felt that a vinyl bumper sticker would sell better than a small decal, however.  While I was interning for the graphic design and marketing associate, Jessica asked if she could borrow me, and requested I make her a bumper sticker.  Using some contacts back at my high school, I got the graphic design teacher there to allow me to print using the school’s banner printer.  I made a 3 inch long oval bumper sticker and printed 100 on vinyl with the banner printer.  We have now sold nearly 400 bumper stickers in the past three years.
