COLLECTIVE
2018
"Ek4t3 Collective is a group of artists coming from the underground of all over the world
that share the passion for darkness in all of its forms.
Freedom of expression against the vile money that clouds the desire to create.
And puts us against each other."
Two digital collages (mixed art) realized for Ek4t3 printed fanzine.
As soon as I got in contact with Ek4t3 Collective and their ideator, Napa,
I felt as if I found something that was truly worth to support.
Indeed I truly think that "Art" with the capital letter is made trough contact,
and Ek4t3 is a 360° oriented collective reuniting international artists!
That is why I decided to collaborate in many ways:
often as an illustrator, sometime as a graphic designer,
and from half 2018 also as visual artist, spacing between video-mapping,
stage designs and video-art performances in general, giving it my all.
Me & my make up during "Circo Halloween, an Urban Story" + Ek4t3 staff during an  event in "Barrios Café" (MI)
What really kept me active was the fact that my interest in the project was cheerfully
rewarded with complete open mindness and respect.
For example, nearly every time that the collective had the possibility to make an event,
I was asked to showcase my illustration works.
This was paired up with the fact that the collective often organized manifestation
where people were incouraged to draw on everything with a street-art collaborative approach.
In these occasions and in exhibitions I often had the possibility to leave a sign.
The more I worked with the collective the more I felt home.
This is why, in a syncresis of intents, since half of 2018, I started to be the visual artist of this crew of artists that is also a super-sperimental international indipendent music label,
actively collaborating with music producers from all around Europe!
We hosted a lot of guests and in this scenario, I really had my possibility to shine!
As I made event upon event where I was free to experiment with glitch art,
I grew and grew my skills as i often felt like it was the right time to experiment.
This approach got me to develop weird techniques with VFX & Video mixing.
For example, in the next video, you'll see the result of giving different external audio inputs to a single Tunnel VFX in Resolume Arena: different parameters (such as opposites directions or wiggles) were associated to low, high and mid frequencies, creating this
audio-synchronized, throbbing tunnel effect that made the wall look as if it was vomiting.
Throbbing tunnel effect during "OPEN!Edizione Contrasti"
I thought to end this article, that seems more like a collection of memories,
with what I think was my best performance of video-mixing & video-mapping.
It happened during Dedalus [EK4T3] Live - First Italian Show:
I Entered in "Osteria S. Andrea", saw this wonderful statue and said...well guys, today it's gonna be total sperimentation, let's video-map that greek-like statue!
And thus I shortly after came up with this result:
1: Videomapping before the performance; 2,3,4: Videomix-performance over the statue
You can find everything about my visual art performances: @H3ml0ck_Visuals(Instagram)
And on my Vimeo Much more visual art showreels, teasers, and even music videos!

IF YOU APRECIATED MY WORK, SUPPORT IT AND SHARE IT!
[I'll be eternally grateful.]
