豬年賀年卡：彘高無上 / Supreme Pig Super Year

大多數的豬年賀年卡會以飽滿的紅色做為主要視覺意象，為了跳脫這種較為傳統的套路，所以使用豬血糕與黑白切這兩種台灣很常見的街邊小吃作為主要視覺意象，白色面是將豬肉或臟器川燙淋上醬油膏並灑上翠綠蔥花的黑白切，中間的紅色夾層表示的是豬血，黑色面則是將豬血加工後製作而成的裹上花生粉並撒上香菜的豬血糕，整體除了凸顯出豬在台灣飲食文化中的價值，更加強調了有血有肉的個性。

The visual imagery of most Chinese New Year cards for the Year of the Pig tends to be red. Thinking outside the box, I decided to use two very common Taiwanese street food as the main imagery: pig's blood cake and hei bai qie. The white part is the hei bai qie glazed with soy sauce and topped with chopped green onion, the red part in the middle is the pig's blood, and the black part is the pig's blood cake topped with peanut powder and cilantro. The entire image highlights the significance of pork in Taiwanese cuisine as well as the vitality of life.
今年看了部由宋康昊所主演的【 我只是個計程車司機 】，從該片理解到每個職業都有所屬的社會責任，所以想把這概念傳遞給收到這卡片的人們，透過圖像與文字將訊息傳遞這份想法，這是設計師能為自己家鄉能做的事情，真的切勿從中國攜帶豬肉及相關製品回台灣，除了會被罰錢，假如因此把疫情帶入台灣，除了對於經濟造成影響，我們以後可能無法繼續品嚐在地的那些美味的豬肉料理。
因為很喜歡周星馳，所以都會放入一些跟周星馳電影裡相關的元素、符號與戲劇梗，融合在設計概念裡。特別版設計中，除了加入大家熟悉的豬剛鬣的豬鼻、武器九齒釘耙的意象外，同時也使用了電影【西游降魔篇】中，舒淇飾演的段小姐與豬八戒對打時所使用的無定飛環；電影【西遊記第壹佰零壹回之月光寶盒】中，用來綑綁妖怪的綑仙索，以及電影【國產凌凌漆】裡面，周星馳飾演的凌凌漆所使用的殺豬刀。歲月就像把殺豬刀，在我們的臉上和心裡留下了一道道或深或淺的痕跡。縱然時間不斷地流逝，把傷害了我們的人做一個關係上切割，但同時我們也把美好給予心中重視的人。
今年是豬年，在華人文化中，一般對於豬的記憶點都是較負面的笨、懶、髒、胖又貪吃，為了顛覆這既定印象所以使用了野豬作為視覺形象，希望大家可以保持著如同野豬凶猛和勇敢般的脾氣外，真心再次呼籲，真的切勿從中國或其他疫區攜帶豬肉及相關製品回台灣。

I watched the movie "A Taxi Driver" starring Song Kang-ho this year, and learned that every profession has its social responsibilities. As a designer, what I can do is use the images and words I create to remind you not to bring pork and related products from China to Taiwan. Because not only would you get fined, the economy would also be affected if the swine disease is spread into Taiwan and we may not be able to enjoy the pork dishes we love anymore.
Since I really like Stephen Chow, I often include elements and references from his movies in my work. Zhu Bajie's nose and weapon are seen in the special edition card, I also included the weapon used to fight Zhu Bajie carried by the character played by Shu Qi in the movie "Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons", the rope used to tie down demons in the movie "A Chinese Odyssey Part One: Pandora's Box", and the butcher knife used by the main character in the movie "From Beijing with Love". Time is just like a butcher knife, it leaves scars as it passes by. It cuts away the damaged relationships and preserves the important ones.
It is the Year of the Pig, pigs are often associated with negative terms such as stupid, lazy, dirty, and fat. To avoid these stereotypes, I decided to use a wild boar instead and hope that you can all be as brave and ferocious as one. And to remind you again, you should not bring pork and related products to Taiwan from countries affected by the swine disease.
