Images produced without manipulation (DSLR Camera, Canon). They are part of a project I undertook while in Paris (January & February 2018), visiting, registering and studying works in museums and churches (for more information, see here).
The original works photographed here are by Pablo Picasso, although they feel very differently from his cubist masterpieces, which generally don't produce much effect on me.

Critics tried to compare all new forms of art to a series of illnesses... "No one could predict where the paper which produced Picasso's ghostly mask would tear: what matters is why he kept it [I would say: why he was caught]" (Ernst Gombrich).
"Picasso returned to occupied Paris seemingly as a gesture of defiance. He became a focus for intellectual freedom... A reproduction of Guernica provoked one officer to ask the painter 'Did you do that?,' to which he is said to have replied, 'No, you did'" (Matthew Gale).
