Reportage: Gentrification in Dallas, Tx

This image representing the city of Dallas and its common practice of gentrification. The emphasis is put on the city view to show the setting of the reportage.
Gentrification is the process of taking low income neighborhoods and renovating them to middle and upperclass standard. This image uses contrast to show the impoverished nature of the home.
Families leave their homes due to the process and many leave things behind.
An emphasis is put on the bulldozer to implement homes are destroyed in the process.
Home owners are forced to sell due to their financial stability. Lots become open for new constructive homes.
Roads are blocked off until construction is completed. Unity is used in this image as it is used in the process of gentrification.
Buildings such as commercial, restaurants, apartment complexes are now constructed to make the economy rise in the area. This image brings balance to the story. It tells both sides of gentrification, so if this image is cut in half both parts are equal.
Contractors move in all their equipment and material to finish the contracts given. This seems to anger those of the community who watches their community upgraded while they are force to move.
This is what the new neighborhood standards are upgraded to after the properties of the lower income are bought. This image focues on the shape of the house making it looked down upon by those forced to move out.
Depth of field is used to show the end process of gentrification. Many people would say that it is about money. Some people think it is a good process for the economy but those on the other side say it is an injustice to the lower class.
