Equality Tunnel
I was invited to be part of a very important project, for a cause that has changed the lives of thousands of families and improved the quality of life of Salvadoran children. As part of a donation from the Fundación Rafael Meza Ayau, I was invited to create a mural that would be part of the remodeling of the Pediatric Department "Ángela Meza Ayau" of the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Santa Ana.
The general theme of the new pavilion was inspired by different planets of the universe, and for that, they commissioned national artists to create murals that would reinforce the idea of each of these interstellar zones. It was assigned to me a hallway that connected two different planets, and that's how the Equality Tunnel was born, a place where children discover new friends whose characteristics are totally different, but who are all equally special, regardless of their physical features or the way they look, since that’s what makes them unique and unequaled.
