“N. The realisation that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.” (The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows)
This project features a life documented through the characters of friends and family. This project hopes to implant awareness of the fact that everyone on this planet has a story and they are living but not telling. I have chosen to tell, to put forth these detailed journals on the smallest things in life, because there is no one else to tell my story. They are minuscule in the face of our history, however, in the lives of people in 2018, they stand out. We do not have time to tell our stories, everything flies by us like we are looking at the world out of a train window.
