Agusan Marsh Identity

Agusan Marsh Identity
Situated in the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, the Agusan Marsh is an ecologically
significant wetland covering a vast area of lakes, rivers and forests. It is famous for migratory birds, floating houses and adventure trails, but its claim to fame came when the world's largest crocodile (6.17m, 1.075kg)
was captured here in September 2011.
In 2009, the University of the Philippines' Department of Geography was commissioned by the Provincial government of Agusan del Sur to come up with an ecotourism plan for the Agusan Marsh.
After days of intensive fieldwork and months of planning and writing, the Fieldwork Team* came up with a comprehensive report outlining observations and recommendations.

Presented here is the visual identity proposed for the marsh. Marshlands and wetlands are relatively unknown to the general public, so the proposed logo uses rich visual imagery to instill awareness
and give a clear picture of the marshland.
