Is Animal Testing Violation of Animal Rights?

One of my most favorite topics to write my essay is animal rights. Throughout history, human beings have brutally treated the animals. Initially, it was for the purpose of getting food. Later, it converted into habitual hunting of the animals, at the hands of the human beings for recreational purposes. After that, emerged the most brutal form of harming the animals, which is animal testing. From the sixteenth century to onwards, human beings have used the animals for the purpose of medical testing, which not only endangers their life but also hinders them from living a free life.

Animal testing is a violation of animal rights. There are two types of animal testing, which include behavioral testing and medical testing. In the behavioral testing, the behavior of different animals is studied. They are kept in a controlled atmosphere, which can include too cold or hot atmosphere or keeping the animals hungry to study their behavior changes. The second form is the medical testing, in which animals are conditioned with certain diseases and then given the unapproved medications, in order to check the impact of medication upon them.

Animal testing endangers the life of the animals and most of them die, during the process of testing. It snatches their ability to live their lives in their ideal atmosphere. It also impacts the future generations of the animals, as the researchers try to observe the offspring of conditioned animals. Most of the religions consider that animals are living beings, having souls but unable to speak. This condition makes them liable to have their rights. Killing any living creature is a crime. The government needs to formulate laws and implement them as well, in order to ensure that no animal is harmed for the purpose of testing.
