Giovanni Calabrese's artistic vocation was evident since the early years of his school life.
After middle school, thanks to his striking creative and manual skills,  he decided to attend Artistic High school in Benevento, where he was born in 1985.
Provincial life was not quite stimulating for him and his inner curiosity made him move from Benevento to Rome where he finished his studies  and he took his degree at the Artistic High school of Ripetta.
His strong  artistic bent didn't avoid him to become very determined and disciplined in the time dedicated to the study.
His steady research of new creative impulses  took him to attend the University of Architecture in Rome where he took his degree. He frequently travelled in Italy and abroad  but in Latin America he lived a real working and artistic life.
He spent a long time in Brazil because the Order of Architects of Rome named him as their representative in artistic and cultural events in Brazil. During this period he met, with the cultural representative of the Brasilian embassy in Italy, Marco Antonio Nakata who immediately involved him as a co-operator (partner) in the busy activity of the embassy that has his residence in Navona's Square. He could show his fantastic artistic cultural promoter skills. taking care of the organisation of several artistic exhibitions of  famous national and international artists and organising several cultural events in the Italian capital city.
Thanks to his first successes as artistic promoter he became the curator (promoter)of the exhibition of the Brazilian architect, Paulo Mendez da Rocha, who has received the famous prize “pritzker 2006”.
The meeting with Mario Ferrante, of whom he became the only artistic promoter, determined his entrance as artist and co-creator of the artistic movement named Iconic – Alchemic. One of his works enriched the gallery of the first Apostolic Nuntiature of Burkina Faso wanted by S.E. Mons. Vito Rallo.
