A well-designed logo plays an important role when it comes to making right impression on the audience. A logo should always be unique, eye popping and absolutely soothing. You should have a logo that make people fall in love with you and your company. However, your logo isn’t your brand, brand is much more than that. There has been lot of confusion surrounding these terms, people often use one term for other, but there is clear difference between them.

If you look around, you will easily notice the mentality of the tribe especially if we talk about certain brands like Pepsi, Apple, Nike, McDonalds and so on. These brands are really famous so as their unique logos. However, this is not why people are loyal to these companies. In other words, people are not loyal to companies because of their LOGO, but to their BRAND and this loyalty enable a logo to strengthen brand’s power.

Brand building is not easy, especially if it’s online, it takes real hard work and dedication. It requires proper goal definition, strong vision and flexibility. Also, it requires customer participation in the process. You should understand your business, market and audience. Once you have thorough understanding of these elements, your logo will take on a life of its own and support brand visibility. And once your brand is visible, you can make efforts to make it popular and recognized by large number of people. It seems hard to do all this, but all of these steps clearly dependent on each other. Don’t think it as a burden because it’s real fun when you go into the right direction.

The Difference: Logo Design and Brand

A Logo is a design element often including symbol, name, color or trademark. It a visual representation of the brand spreading brands’ message. On the other hand, a brand is a product, service or a concept that differentiate one business from other.  Brand is actually an experience that people have when they come in contact with a particular business/company. Take it this way, a logo is a graphic element whereas a brand is the communication strategy that helps businesses to communicate your expertise and passion. A well designed logo with effective brand strategy can help you reach audience more efficiently and communicate your message in a better way also it helps easily attract attention of the people.

 A key difference between both, a logo design and a brand can be seen if you make customer care center of your favorite brand. The way they treat you over the phone call, the way they show that they care, the kind of music they play when you are on hold. These intangible qualities actually establish a brand.   

So, don’t think if you have a logo means you have a brand, because there is difference between the both.  However a logo isn’t any less important, it basically hold your back after you have started building your brand.
