Altro lato (other side) refers to the bank of the Grand Canal opposite to the railway station in Venice. Altrolato is an artistic operation aimed towards the urban retraining of a part of the town that has suffered a loss of activity since the building of the notorious new bridge that has been redirecting people flows this last decade.
The same black and yellow from the local water transportation company have become the colours for Altrolato’s graphic identity, as well as Arial typeface, that had its “t” mirrored as if it were “on the other side” of the canal, symbolised by the wave underneath.
