Malcolm White. New Zealand Graphic Artist's profile

A'Design Award Winner (Italy) 'Birds of Steel'

Birds of Steel is a combination of cut out lines and shapes linked together by one another to create scenes that represents movement, energy and discovery. Each piece of the artwork has been carefully considered in terms of making sure the shapes can be laser cut out of steel without pieces of the design being lost in the process. When applied to a wall setting, garden feature or pergola, the use of artificial or natural light and shadow help project these flat panels into a more dynamic three dimensional space giving the illusion of depth and the environment portrayed.
First panel: Kingfisher and Cathedral Cove, New Zealand. Second panel: Morepork and Kiwi, New Zealand. Third panel: Kea and Mount Cook, New Zealand.
