Break The Mould was an idea that came to me when I was thinking about my Level Headed illustration and how I could make something else along those lines.

This piece was created using a mix of real paper cutouts and digital papercraft skills that I've learnt myself along the way. I absolutely love this way of working because it gives me the best of both worlds in terms of physical and digital work. 

My original creation of this piece had the light coming from the left hand side causing the shadows to be cast to the right and at first I was quite happy with how it looked but after taking it into Photoshop something just didn't feel right. I wanted the shadows to look more prominent and with the colours I was using it was hardly noticeable that this was even a papercut illustration so I started all over again to create this one.

The message behind this piece is to stand out and be a better you this year.
