Coffee is not a drink for pussies is a Direct Mail project aimed to promote the tour of a travelling poetry company. The text is all based upon one of the poets pieces and directly influenced both typographical and layout decisions. It is a common theory that coffee makes the brain scatty and on edge, this is hence why the typographical style is very reflective of this and may seem a bit difficult to read on first glance. The introduction of a pop out coaster in the shape of a mug was to introduce value to the piece as so much DM gets disregarded. This would allow the reader to use the coaster for their daily cups of coffee whilst the underside of it contained all the details of the tour to remind them of the original context.
