Municipal Museum of The Hague
This mural was painted live during Museumnacht for Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, which exhibits works by Mondriaan, Picasso and Monet amongst others.
As a Muslim artist growing up and living in The Hague, I was asked to be one of the ambassadors for the the Splendor & Bliss exhibition, which displays art from 900-1900 from the Islamic world. As part of that I painted this wall at the entrance of the museum.
The calligraphy reads Welcome to The Hague in Arabic, written in calligraffiti script. The mural will be up during the exhibition which is running till 3rd March 2019.
