Toyota Supra with Alex Bernstein

"Saatchi really wanted to push the envelope in style, look & feel to show the new Supra in a unique light. A departure from the happy sunny Toyota vibe, we set out to find an epic track environment, and the Art Director, Mat Velarde wanted all the hero shots to have that “golden hour” feeling.

There was a ton of anticipation on this shoot because of the code red security, so none of us had even seen the car until we got to set after months of planning. We dodged some awful rain in Texas and improvised where we could, while other shots just happened exactly as we’d hoped, and sometimes even better.

Mat banked on my racing experience to put the car where it needed to be on the track and I really aimed to make these images dramatic, fast and badass. I live for fast cars, and we’ve been waiting for the Supra to come back for over two decades, so it was a serious honor to be chosen for this project.
