EULOGY
/ˈjuːlədʒi/
noun
a speech or piece of writing that praises someone or something highly, especially a tribute to someone who has just died.
"a eulogy to the human body and soul"

Naturally, a eulogy is delivered by speech.

I decided to name my first exhibition a "Eulogy" as i finally managed to put to rest some of my deepest fears which induced high levels of social anxiety and stress to a point of self isolation. I was on the bring of self-sabotage. Finally i decided to face my fears. And though it wasn't easy, i found myself in great company and completely reborn...

When we put work into facing our fears, we destroy a shell that consumed us, making space for newer layers of emotions. A clean slate. When we stand still, we decay from within. When man is working, they feel as they're on the same pace with the world.

These are some recollections of what i've worked on since i graduated in 2015. From mythology to traditional stories to personal trauma, there is a rich variety in which i display social tension... especially coming from a country where i am a double minority. The politics can only be felt through the eyes of a local, hopefully, through some metaphor that you, too, might find yourself in.

Thanks to people who believed in me and always supported me, i made this happen.
Special thanks to Rea, my sister-in-law, who without her, all of this wouldn't be possible.

To many more,
Cheers
Lirka.
