FR : "Non-human astronauts" est un projet scolaire. Celui-ci traite des animaux envoyés dans l'espace au nom de la science et de la conquête spatiale, dont on parle très peu. De manière générale, la recherche spatiale communique peu avec le reste du monde, et ce qu'elle partage se révèle souvent compliqué à comprendre pour les non-initiés. Les quelques informations nous parvenant nous parlent des planètes, de l'entraînement des astronautes, des avancées technologiques et mécaniques qui nous permettent d'explorer plus loin, mais que savons-nous des souris, insectes, singes ou tortues envoyés en test ? Avec ce livre, j'ai voulu démontrer le côté nébuleux et fermé de cette discipline scientifique et mettre en avant les animaux utilisés, parfois sacrifiés, pour l'avancée de la recherche.
