ENVIRONMENTAL TYPE - A SENSE OF PLACE
Main Street, Downtown Sarasota, FL

Environmental Type is a multi-step project that investigates the relationship between word, image, meaning, and place. The project progresses from photographic documentation to expressive design and storytelling. Each step was built upon the last.

The project gave me an in-depth view of an area that I may have taken for granted or barely explored at all. It is easy for us to live in our own bubbles, removed from the environment that surrounds us. This project provided me with the opportunity to engage and interpret the area surrounding me; a chance to step outside of myself.
