WHAT IS GOAL 50?

Journalists from across Goal's 37 editions voted in the annual award for the world's 50 best footballers. Goal 50 is an annual celebration of the 50 best players in the world.  As a design team, we needed a creative to reflect and emphasise the diverse number of countries responsible for supplying the players of this years list and creating a globe was a great way to 
enhance this. 
 
This year the team pushed boundaries and produced illustrations of all the 50 players in the form of a stained glass window,   which was presented as an award to the players. 
01. ILLUSTRATIONS

WEBSITE.

One of the earliest aims within the overall campaign ambition was to push platform limits. Goal as a publication uses the visual story-telling editor Shorthand.com for its brilliance in publishing rich long-form content. After the creative directions was decided, we partnered up with external agency Parrallax, who worked on the technical WebGL scope for everything to be moulded together.

SOCIAL ACTIVATION.

The social activation was largely pushed towards Goals 2.8M instagram followers through player imagery,
social templates, and instagram stories.
