A set of floor pillow with four throw pillows, screen printed on Kora Cotton fabric and stuffed with cotton fiber filling.
The All-Over print, screen printed on the face of the pillow, and the coordinate printed on the 4 sides.
The background screen from the coordinate print was used as the main print for the pillows.

THE SCREEN PRINTING PROCESS
Preparing the screen - Using a nylon mesh, wooden frame, lace tap and wooden stapler, the screen is tightly pulled and prepared. A thick layer of emulsion is painted and the screen is left to dry. Using a stencil on acetate sheet, the screen is exposed in the dark room to reveal the pattern on the emulsion. After washing and cleaning, the screen is ready to be used for print.
Taking test prints on scrap fabric - the testing of the screen to ensure proper exposing and color flow.
Pigments used - Water soluble textile pigments with binder.
Printing the outline print for the Castle print, in straight repeat.
Printing the colors for the foliage and of the castle.
Due to the Foliage screen being invertedly exposed, the print didn't fit into it's negative space as it was supposed to. Instead, it created interesting white space which added to the movement of the foliage and the corresponding cloud print.
Printing the highlights of the castle, and the cloud.
Printing the Coordinate pattern for the sides of the pillow. Four screens were used - background color screen, outline screen, yellow detail, purple detail.
The background screen for the coordinate seemed like an interesting design in it's own, and was thus used as the mono print for the throw pillows, 1 in each color from the palette.
