This is a piece done for Weekly CG Challenges #141 "Snowball". I was sketching and drew a guy getting hit in the face with a snowball and his face being squished, but decided on a more fun route of a penguin throwing a snowball. Penguins are one of my favorite animals and I wanted to make him look stylized with a funny, soft, comical sort of look. This was a fun exercise to experiment with V-Ray Fur materials in 3DS Max and sculpting the character in Scupltris. 

This won 2nd place in Challenge #141.
