For a huge supermarket in The Netherlands called 'Jumbo', I designed a new label for their olive oil. It all started with a new color for my kitchen and all matching oils, spice jars and tableware. Except for this particular olive oil bottle. I don't like the label and it doesn't suit my shelving. So I decided to redesign it, giving it a more contemporary and sophisticated look, by keeping it's original colours.
A more consistent typeface for the product
Instead of using yet another typeface to explain what product it is, I used a similar font as the word mark 'JUMBO'. Brittanic Bold looks almost the same and adds a bit more branding. It would also distinguish the private label from the bigger brands.
