    从白开始


    最早是从之前写的一首诗开始:
    
龙约黄,
六神白砂糖,
风商量,
滚烫伤情上轻狂,
笨蛋傻瓜聪明饭,
吃口,
找四上天堂。


    这首诗我之后又谱了一首曲子,时不时的就哼着。那时候我对于文字的理解就是好玩随意,且莫名的为之着迷。刚好我也在想换一种创作方式,又一个从无到有的开始。如同组字一样,将各种随意的元素开始在纸上肆意拼接,如细胞的不明元素,散落,凌乱,而当这个元素越来越多的时候,我便将它们连接,最后形成了一个“画面”,就像写开头的那首诗一样,自在的组合。
    
我想的是,让它们自然的“生长”,不去塑造,哪怕最开始脑子里也不去设定任何的形象,只是让它自然的流露在纸上,到了一定的数量,我再开始将它们整合,就这样持续了一个系列的尝试。
    
渐渐的,我发现,纸就像一个容器,即便我每次尽量都不去设想这个画面的草稿,但是这个容器还是很大程度上影响了我作画的一个最终的结果,于是我便想用这一点,也就是试着去改变“容器”的尺寸,来影响最终画出的结果。
    
如同一个细胞通过若干的排列变化,终于变成了一片叶子后,我便觉得是时候可以把叶子变成树了。于是就有了《龙约黄》系列。这里面是若干组“人”的组合,但他们大多都没有代表每个人独有的特征,如头,手,脚掌,有的只是一个最普遍的一个“形”,而这个形体里包裹的甚至不是人的骨肉,它仅仅是一个像人的一个形体,我是想把它做成一种泛指,它可以是任何“人”,而不是确定的某个“人”。
   
    当开始有了场景出现,就开始有了 《六神白砂糖 》。这里面我把“人”又去掉了,再重新去单提取元素,将场景组合起来,从有了“形体”后重新又回到了“元素”。因为按常理伴随着“人”慢慢长大去走也许会太理所当然,所以想试试当刚出现“人”的时候就又跑回去看“元素”会是个什么情况。记得之前遇到一些小朋友,他们问我什么叫“六神白砂糖”,我当时给他们解释说,意思是世界上到处都是神,就像白砂糖一样的多。他们听完都哈哈大笑,显得很兴奋。过后我就想到了这个关于“神”的概念。什么是“神”,他住在哪,一种理解是,人住在地上,那神也许就在天上,而天上是哪呢?很小时候记得第一次坐飞机,当飞到了一个高度后,窗外是蔚蓝雪白一片,云到了下面,上面是万里晴空,阳光灿烂,干干静静。之后我才知道这里是平流层,一处气流平缓,上下温差大,不适合人,但他有着臭氧阻隔着一定的紫外线保护着地球万物,这里且万里晴空很少风雨。

    平流层这一概念,很契合我现在创作的一种状态,没有太多的冲突,尽可能的平和,但又存在些距离感。事物之间的组合随意也有一定的秩序,可以承载各种想象,存在即成立,不去设想他的理想状态,只有自然生长,想摒弃所有束缚,绝对的自由。可其实当你想的时候就已经被某种东西约束着,想打破的时候就已经有了一个故有的对事物的看法产生在印象中了,一切看似理所当然却又矛盾。 
    
之后便有了《半世纪无忧愁》,《闰月五星米》,《留步入仙池》系列。在体量上我慢慢将画面做大。从《米》开始,当时就想做一个“放大”的概念,想将一个原本小的场景做大后会是个怎样的画面。而后我发现,在这个较大的体量里面又充斥着若干的小的画面,这些小的画面像极了刚开始出现的“细胞”,就像是是一颗颗的“米”。“米”原本只是一个相对人来说很微小的一个物质,但它却可以将人孕育,而若干的“米”组合后将又是一个白茫茫一片,如云如雾,而若将“米”放小了看,每一颗里面也像是一个世界。

    世界像米一样的小,世界像米一样的大。

   《留步入仙池》是现在进行时,也就是我目前正在做的一个阶段,在这个大的“世界”寻找着可能,像“神仙池”一样,未知,所以吸引着我,留在此地。

the Whiteness

I would like to start with a poem I wrote before:
Since the birth of the dragon,
The world is full of gods, as many as granulated sugars,
Whisper to the wind,
The passion of youth, scalding, frivolous and hurting,
The fool and the wit man eat the same meal,
Let's have a bite, too.
Take a friend to go to heaven.


I then composed a song for this poem, and occasionally hummed
it. At that time, my understanding about writing was fun and as
I pleased, and inexplicably fascinated about it. In the meantime,
I happened to try to change a way of creation, another starting
from nothing. Like organizing words, I started to splice various
random elements on the paper, such as the unknown elements in
the cells, scattered, messy, and when the elements became more
and more, then I connected them, in the end formed an "image",
like the poem in the beginning, it’s an unrestrained combination.

What I wanted, is letting them grow naturally, not to shape them,
even in the beginning I also didn’t setup any image in my head,
just let it naturally revealing on the paper, to a certain number,
I began to integrate them, just like this I continued a series of
trying.

Gradually, I found that paper was like a container, even if every
time I tried not to imagine the draft of the picture, the container
still influenced my painting greatly in the final outcome, so I
wanted to use this point, which is to try to change the size of
the "container", to influence the final outcome.

Just as a cell, through a number of arrangement and formation,
and finally becomes a leaf, I think it's about time to turn the
leaf into a tree. So there was the "Dragon Yellow" series. There
are several groups of combinations of "human", but most of
them are not on behalf of each one's unique features, such as
head, hands, feet, there is only the most common "shape", and
what’s in this body is not even the flesh of human, it is only a body
looking like a human, I want to make it a reference, it can
be any "human", not a certain one.When there was a scene
appearing, there was "Six Gods White Granulated Sugar". Here
I took the "man" out, and then retook the elements solely, then
I combined the scenes, and then returned to "elements" when
the "body" shaped. Because in common sense as "body" slowly
grows up may be too taking it for granted, so I wanted to try
when the "body" just appears and then returned to see what it
will be for the "elements". I remember I met some kids before,
they asked me what is "Six Gods White Granulated Sugar", I
explained to them at that time that six gods is everywhere in the
world, as many as white granulated sugar. They all laughed and
seemed very excited. And then I thought about the concept of
god. What is "god", where does he live, and one understanding
is that people live on the ground, and then the god may be in
the heaven, and where is heaven? I recall the first time to take a
flight when I was small, when flying to a certain altitude, outside
the window was all blue and white, the clouds were under the
plane, above was sunny sky, bright sunshine, clean and fresh,
wasn’t it the fairyland depicted in the myth? After some years,
I understand that is the stratosphere, where air flows smoothly,
and temperature difference is big, not suitable for people to
breathe, but it has ozone to protect everything on the earth from
the ultraviolet radiation, there is rarely raining and and always sunny.

T h e c o n c e p t i o n o f t h e a d v e c t i o n , i s v e r y c o n s i s t e n t w i t h
my creating state now, doesn't have too much conflict, as
peaceful as possible, but it still have a little bit of distanceThe
combination between things could be casual but also . have a certain
o r d e r , c a n c a r r y a l l k i n d s o f i m a g i n a t i o n , e x i s t e n c e i s
reasonable, I try not to imagine ts ideal state, only the natural
growth, abandon all constraints, ireach absolutely freedom. But
you are constrained when you are thinking, when you try to break
everything, the inhering opinion about things is generated in the
impression, everything seems to be granted but contradicted.

Then there was "No Sorrow in Half A Century", "Leap months Five
Star Meters" and "Standing by the Fairy Pool" series. I slowly
make the size bigger. Starting with "Rice", I wanted to make a
"zooming" concept, and I wanted to make a picture about what
a small scene would look like when being amplified. And then I
found that, in the larger size full of a number of small images,
the small images looks like just the "cells" which are starting to
appear, like "Rice". "Rice" is a very small object to people, but it
can breed people, but after a number of combinations there will
be another vast expanse of whiteness, as cloud and fog, and if
look into the "Rice", every rice is like there is a world inside.The
world is as small as rice, and the world as large as rice.

"Standing by the Fairy Pool" is on going status, it’s the stage
I am currently doing, in this big "world" to seek the possibility,
like "the fairy pool", unknown, so it attracted me, so I stay there.
