I was assigned to design a new logo for the Humane Society of York County. We had to include their slogan and name, but other than that we had free range over the project.

For the logo, I drew my inspiration from silhouettes. I love the simple, but elegant look they give a design and I knew I wanted to use them. I chose to put the logo in the center of the paw print to put emphasis on it and show that they are an important organization with a great mission. 

For the volunteer training poster, I chose again to include a paw print to show cohesiveness between the logo and the poster. I included animals within the paw print to represent all the animals that don't have homes within the shelter. The bright colors are meant to catch the viewers attention in hopes that they will consider becoming a volunteer rather than just walking by the poster without noticing it.
