2019: New year's Procreate Floral Illustration

I wanted the first project of this year to be very powerful reflecting all the kind of things I want to work in over the 2019. Line work is something I always wish I do more often, especially after #inktober ends every year. I really love nature, animals, flowers, vegetables, to observe how the seasons go by and come back bringing different colors every time,  that's why I enjoy so much botanical illustration. Every number of this illustration represents one season of the year, starting from winter. Even though not every flower matches its season I did my best to capture the feel of every one. This is my first line work on Procreate and the first complex project created with our new iPad Pro 2018. I really hope you like it!

Process video: Number 2

Here you can see the video of the process from the outline to the digital ink work, each number took me around 9 hours to complete:

Color versions

These are my favorite color versions. I used Living coral for the background and lines, because it is the Pantone of the year and also my favorite color on graphic design. The second one is just a random palette that I like very much too.
