Solo exhibition 2005 - Deafening Absences
Internal abandoned places, humidity, decay, memories, routes, sounds, smells, deafening absences, silent figures charming although. My aim is to comment the human capture inside himself, inside his thoughts, his problems and his emotions. That is, at his own society.
My space tends to become claustrophobic. Maybe because, I paint my self, my speculations concerning painting, ravage and the tension are caused by the art system.
In my work coexist pure painting elements: textures, materials, contrasts (inside-outside, sparse-dense, rough-smooth, bold-faint), as well as, loneliness, encirclement and claustrophobic atmosphere.
My loneliness is related to my own experience, my own moments, the lonely way of painting, the conversation between me and myself.
