SKELETON Magazine for Print and Web

SKELETON is a magazine targeted at professional graphic designers and design enthusiasts. The name refers to the principal values of design, which form the foundation for effective visual communication. These fundamental tools may be built upon once properly understood, like muscle and tissue growing around a framework of bone.

The magazine's masthead is inspired by early academic journals, a format that holds connotations of analysis, exploration, and advancement. This scholarly aesthetic represents the magazine’s thought-provoking and critical attitude towards design.
The typographic theme of this issue is visualised with patterns derived from font glyphs. The cover’s overall layout is distinctly modular, prompting awareness of a grid, which is the underlying framework within which key typographic elements are arranged.
SKELETON is also available online, assuming a layout that enables optimal screen-based navigation on various digital platforms.
