Client:

Timios Inc. has operated since 2008. The company provides title, escrow, & lending services with offices located in Pennsylvania, Texas and California. The company has a mobile application, as well as a web application that can be accessed through their marketing website.

Problem:

Timios was facing a dilemma with communication. Their previous website did not speak to the needs of homebuyers, sellers and lenders. They did not have distinct user paths and needed help addressing their clients.

Solution:

We applied goal-oriented design, placing the user first. By understanding the goals of each group of clients serviced, communication strategies gained clarity. This allowed us to track each user group through key-paths. We then established UI elements to supplement new copy content.
Takeaways

Goal-directed design was the most important element of our approach with Timios. The company had never looked at the users' goals. Doing so simplified the structure and design of the website. We developed calls to action on each page using personas and focusing on the end-goals each user would have.

Visual language was another significant component of the end result. The previous design incorporated too many colors and left little white space on the page. This approach was not suitable for communicating large amounts of complicated information. It also did not work well for mobile, where Timios wanted to ensure UX was impeccable.
